("GTC", Nasdaq: GTCB) announced today that Geoffrey Cox, Ph.D., Chairman and CEO of the Company, is scheduled to present an update on GTC's product and corporate development on Thursday, October 20, 2005 at 9:20 a.m. (12:20 p.m. Eastern Time) during the BIO InvestorForum 2005. The conference is being held at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco, October 19-20, 2005.

GTC Biotherapeutics is a leader in the development, production, and commercialization of therapeutic proteins through transgenic animal technology. GTC currently has five products in its internal pipeline and a portfolio of external program production opportunities. GTC's lead program is ATrynŽ, its recombinant form of human antithrombin.
